1-bag of Alice’s Yummy Yeast Roll Mix, Home Style or 100% Whole Wheat
1 cup of brown sugar mixed with 3 tsp. of cinnamon
2-8 inch greased round pans
Melted butter for brushing
Follow easy step by step instructions provided.
After the first rise of dough, divide dough into 2 balls; let rest for 3-5 minutes.
Turn balls over & roll or shape each dough ball into an 8 by 8 inch rectangle, ¼ -½ inches thick.
Brush with butter.
Spread brown sugar mixture over buttered rolled dough & jelly roll.
Pinch seams to seal & cut each into 8 slices.
Put in pan. Let rise until double in size.
Bake @ 375 degree for 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown.
Spread with icing while warm.
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon sugar dissolved in 2 Tablespoon hot water
1 cup of confectioner sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix all together, adding more confectioner sugar or liquid needed to form a smooth spreading consistency.
Spread over warm cinnamon rolls.
You can make these ahead as well, Just prepare, bake, butter, cool, double wrap and freeze.
Take out of freezer the night before, put in refrigerator.
Reheat in foil in a 350 degree oven, 10-15 minutes or until hot.
